We’ve decided to have a destination wedding, with the hopes that it will feel like a vacation for all of our guests too!

Accommodations

  • We would love if you can join us in reserving your stay in the same hotel that will host our ceremony, but there are other accommodations close by and you would certainly still be able to take part in each of the events.

    We very strongly recommend booking immediately if you can! The hotel has a very limited number of rooms, and the prices will go up significantly as this is a prime time for tourism in the area. There is an option to pay upon arrival if you select the “Free cancellation” option, for a small additional fee for holding the room.

    We completely understand that the room rates may present difficulties for some of our guests, particularly when considered on top of travel costs and as the rates rise due to the popularity of the dates in the area.

    Our top priority is that you can join us to celebrate, and we will provide updates later on regarding some nearby options that may be more affordable alternatives!

Travel Tips

    The venue is about 10 minutes from Palma City Center, and 20 minutes from Palma Airport (PMI).

    There is Uber in the area, but taxis may be more of the norm, and can offer a cheaper rate. There is also Bolt, which should operate similarly - both of these may connect you with a taxi anyhow.

    At the airport there should be an official taxi line which is facilitated by the airport employees and is safe to take, but to err on the safe side, never accept a ride from someone who simply pulls up and asks if you need a Taxi.

    Other than the airport, there are also taxi apps, similar to those that NYC and other major cities now have, where you can order a taxi to come to your location as opposed to finding one readily available. We’re not too sure of the differences, but if you are interested, or are having trouble with other ride sources, some suggestions are TaxiClick, NTaxi, Mallorcab, PideTaxi.

    We’re going there in January, so we’ll let you know what we find is easiest!

  • Guests flying from the U.S. will almost definitely have a connection somewhere - unless you are flying out of Newark (EWR), which has a direct flight to Palma de Mallorca (PMI).

    If you are traveling from the U.S., keep these in mind:

    • Connections usually take much longer outside of the USA

      • For your outbound flight (U.S. Airport → Palma) if your connection is in Europe, aim for 3 hours connection time. With 2 hours or less, even if you make the flight, your luggage may not

      • For your return flight (Palma → U.S Airport), connection time before your transatlantic flight should be at least 2 hours

    • Mobile Passport Control App - quick to set up, and helps you skip long customs lines! Highly recommend if your airport has an MPC line

  • In Mallorca, both Catalan and Spanish are official languages

    You may see street addresses and names written in a variety of ways, the following are some equivalents:

    • The name of the country

      • English: Spain

      • Spanish: España

      • Catalan: Espanya

    • The name of the islands

      • English: Balearic Islands

      • Spanish: Islas Baleares

      • Catalan: Illes Balears

    • A specific roadway named “Andratx”

      • English: Andratx Highway

      • Spanish: Ctra. de Andratx

      • Catalan: Ctra. d’Andratx

    All this said, we expect nearly everyone will speak english there, or at least enough to meet you halfway ☺︎
